All Accredited Law Programs and Universities in Kenya

According to the Legal Education Act, 2012, Section 18, any institution that intends to offer any course or program of legal education in Kenya for the award of a degree, diploma or certificate as a professional qualification in law shall apply to the Council of Legal Education (CLE) for a license and thus be listed to provide an accredited law program.

Consequently, any document issued at the end of a program or training purporting to be evidence of the award of a degree, diploma or certificate in law shall be invalid unless licensed by CLE.

For accreditation, an institution is required to follow the licensing procedure provided in Part 2 of Legal Education (Accreditation and Quality Assurance) Regulations, 2016, which involves in a subsequent manner: application for accreditation, inspection, accreditation, and issuance of license which will be valid for a period of 5 years before mandatory renewal.
