11. EssayPro

Essaypro Review
Essaypro

For more than 20 years, EssayPro has been helping students with their education tasks by entrusting them to professional writers. It is thus logical to put EssayPro among the leaders of the online writing industry.

It has completed more than 1.1 million orders over the years while maintaining a small pool of professional writers, always below 500, which suggests three things.

How much does EssayPro pay its writers? EssayPro charges its clients a minimum of $11 per page which if we factor what the company takes which is normally around 50%, the writer’s earnings start from at least $6 per page. This is one another major online writing company which boasts of over 100 employees, 5000 writers, and more than 460,000 jobs already completed over the past 10 years of operation.

The company has the most number of reviews in Glassdoor which suggests the large number of writers it has worked with and the dominance it has in the writing industry.

It has an average cost per paper and a reliable supply of jobs even during low seasons. As with many other writing accounts, the client is the company’s biggest asset which is why most negative complaints point on the heavy penalties it gives it to writers in case of any issues.

19. Writers Hub

WritersHub Review
WritersHub

Writers Hub is a favorite academic writing account for many freelance writers. This is mainly contributed by the ease of creating an account just like Studypool and the never-ending supply of jobs available for bidding on a free-market basis.

The platform has a huge pool of writers yet this number always never seems to grow despite the number of new applicants accepted every month. A brief research into Writers Hub reviews revealed some startling information.

First, the company seems to be taking a very huge commission cut from the writers’ pay. One client claimed in Trustpilot that he paid $220 for a job only to find out that the writer was paid $12. Secondly, the company heavily penalizes writers for mistakes and has a hard to deal with the support team.

Lastly, accounts are terminated daily. Having worked with Writers Hub, I can attest some truth in these claims. The customer care team is especially rude, unreasonable and it subjects heavy unwarranted fines to the writers.

The supply of jobs is very good and the best writers make a good living from the platform.

Conclusion

There are hundreds of other online writing accounts that I haven’t mentioned here but the above are some of the most recognizable in the freelancing world. One thing to note is that for these sites, the clients are always right.

You as a writer will always be blamed and sometimes punished for mistakes you haven’t done. It’s advisable to be at peace with that fact while you strive to offer the best quality of work for your clients.

  1. Hi El Gwaro,
Preciate your insights. I recently applied at (Kenya writers)and I’ve noticed their persistence on an upfront ksh1000 fee that they ask for as a requirement. Do you by any chance know of this platform? Regards.

    Reply
    • Hey Warui, honestly I don’t think paying that Ksh 1000 will be of benefit to you. I had a friend who paid that amount, then she was given two tests which were reviewed and she was asked to correct some mistakes…and that’s all…they call it training. It doesn’t mean you’ll start getting jobs regularly. My friend never heard from them again so it was just a waste of time.

  3. Hello,
Quite detailed information. I have been handling applications for some time. There are issues one needs to know. For example, some of the accounts like Unemployed Professors prefer native speakers and will blacklist one using the IP. Others pick cookies and approve accounts based on novice trials. The documents used and cases of multiple applications may also determine whether or not one gets approved.

  11. Hey El Gwaro,
I have been writing for someone’s account for 5 years now so I’m quite experienced. I now want to get my own account in order to work on my own terms. However, I do not have a diploma or degree. I know you have listed sites that don’t require such documents (albeit, understandably, very few), but what advise would you give me personally?

    Reply
    • You can buy an account or pay an expert to teach you how to successfully open writing accounts. Join Academia Writing group in Facebook, that’s where most online writers congregate. People sell accounts, others sell knowledge. If you can get a good account to start off and hold you while learning how to successfully open accounts, you’ll have killed two birds with the same stone. Try and do a background check of account sellers and find those that are reputable, buy an account and request them to teach you how to open accounts. Once you have the knowledge especially how to circumvent the degree requirements and pass the writing tests, you’ll be good for life. You’ll open accounts whenever you feel like. All the best.

  12. Hi there Mr. Gwaro,
I find your page most informative. Many thanks, I hope to start writing to complement my income. I tried opening an account with freelancers and Upwork as early as five years ago with no approval. Now I realize from the comments section that it is no walk in the park. Looking forward to having my own account with one of your best-recommended sites.

    Kind Rgds,

    • Hey Abraham, most of these accounts offer both bid and take services. I have tried to indicate this feature if you read through the article. For surety of whether an account is a bid or take account, please visit the FAQ section of the website.

  15. Hello, Onsomu. Tell me about writedom. I applied with them about 4 weeks ago and submitted all documents but no replies even when I try to chat with the support. I also sent an email and no replies still.

    • Hey Savy, One thing you need to note is that most of these websites are not kind to new applicants. They usually require you to apply and wait for a reply from them which can come even after one month and only if your application was worthy enough. They have a very tough recruitment system which admits the best and favors native English speaking people. If you don’t get a response from them, even after 4 weeks, you need to move on and apply in another platform. All the best though.

To anyone looking to join the industry, Writershub is an awful awful site with low payments that do not even begin to cover the stress that comes with working on that site.

    • Thank you C for stopping by….WritersHub must be doing something terribly wrong, so many complaints floating around. freelance writers should be aware of what they are getting into when registering for an account with WritersHub

        • Hey Benedict, If you wanna create an online writing account, you’ve gotta do it trial and error. Since you have 5 years of experience, you have the basic writing skills to perform well in the entry test. So just check out any of these sites and identify those with open recruitment and try your lack. Alternatively, you should identify an account seller from academic writing groups and seek advice on how to successfully open accounts. They might ask for a small payments so be ready. All the best.

          • Hello El Gwaro. Thank you for compiling this list for us, it’s so insightful. Do you know someone I can contact directly to assist in opening an account please? I have tried opening several accounts, but the test is always a problem. I need some guidance on the same. Thank you

          • Hey Wincate, Opening an account today is a good combination of luck and experience. Luck because sometimes these accounts allow Africans to apply and accept that seem promising based on how they perform. Experience because the people who know how to open accounts have been in the industry for a while and they understand what is needed to pass the test among other things like hiding you location using vpn. Your best bet is to identify an account owner in one of the many Academic writing Facebook Groups and request them to teach you how to open an account. They might charge you a bit but it will be worth it if you successfully open an account.
